After the assassination of James Cobain, Lacie Kismet miscarried their son.
Tragedy, the muse that had disappeared, reappeared upon the death of James, and his son. As the last chord of their existence was struck and cut, the sorrow of the melody led her to at least give the child another chance as he was taken from death of the Olympians, and sent to the realm of Christian Hell. Though a child of luck, and also, a child of touched by a god, and saved by a muse, the years that followed were anything but fortunate.
In Hell, time passes a lot faster, to represent eternity to the people suffering inside it as their soul is slowly devoured by the tortures or their sins. For Gabe, who was born without sin, as he was not born yet in the world, it meant he had a bit of immunity from being trapped in a torture like the other humans… But it didn't mean he saw any less horror, or debauchery growing up due to this.
Indeed, learning to lie, cheat, strike fear, and other such 'games' was the norm for this child as he rapidly grew up in this messed up layer… That was until he met Dina, angel, sent down to 'survive' in the horrors of Hell. Gabe thought it a great joke to play on his fellows to help her out… Little did he know he'd actually develop feelings for her.
Explaining things like family, friends, and love was nearly impossible for Gabe to understand, still, he did feel she was worthwhile to bed at the time, so hung around, waiting for his chance to do so… Yet, always feeling that he needed to ask permission or get her acceptance, when all the other 'women' he had were just cattle to be prodded, and played with.
Still, it wasn't until the devil's daughter, Lucy, challenged him to a game of chance with Dina and his luck on the line, that he actually really felt the first beginnings of love. The game that followed was not a battle… but more of a massacre for Gabe, as demons did not just gamble with money, but their sense of selves, finally, Gabe, backed into a corner, had only one thing to match, his luck to the devil sire's own and his love for Dina…. Lucy, confident that she'd broken Gabe, nodded her agreement and as he finally drew the last queen of hearts for his royal flush, she screamed in rage and ordered them dead.
What followed was a harrowing chase of fighting, sneaking around, and general mayhem throughout the layers as both of them overcame the challenges, found comfort in each others arms, and finally managed to make it out of the hellhole. Still, getting out of hell isn't as easy as fighting out of it, as Dina only had one item to get out of the place, which she forced on Gabe despite his protests.
Taking Dina's place out in the world now, he hopes to one day figure out a way back, and the only way he knows how is to do the dirty work of the higher powers.

It rang through me over and over, as I watched Dina shove the hollow string into my hands, and smile, before the bright flash of light, to the realm of mortals. Love did strange things to a man, making them think they could do anything, fight anything, be anything to be with their loved one.. That's why, even after losing almost everything, I keep thinking….

Another day as a person here in this city, I can't stand it… Its not as noisy as Hell, its not as clean as Heaven, its just, never deciding, and always changing, I don't know if I can keep up with it Dina… I'll do my best though, because….
