Alec Snow started as your typical angst filled cynic at the world, taking it out by spitting out insults or being overly critical at everything and everyone he saw due to his own lack of self confidence. Using his powers for evil, selfish gains, or just plain old bastardly manipulation, he was quite a destructive force in the world of super powers pitting friends and loved ones against each other all for the fact, well, he hated himself, so he had to make everyone else hate each other. Why did he hate himself so much you might ask? The reason is simple, his best friend died from his first manifestation of his powers and he's as dumb as his brick archetype let's him be…. That was until he fell in love.

Enter in Tao Yin, a chinese styled mystic who actually liked Alec for all the crazy stuff he did, laughing at his insults and generally just being an evervescent person to his dark and cynical side. Surprised that someone actually enjoyed the venom he spat out, he couldn't help but be drawn to her empathic and bright personality… Of course, he was always afraid that he'd hurt her but Yin seemed confident that her magic as well as her own beliefs would make her at peace with whatever happened in the world not to mention, the whole idealist, love transcends all boundaries.

It was then a very happy time for Alec and Yin as they get more and more intimate, and as this is a TV14 rating, well, suffice to say they faded into a bedroom scene, it darkens, and a scream followed by heavy male breathing is heard… The scene comes back onto Alec standing over the dying body of Yin, and the bedroom itself a scene of chaos. Alec looks down at his bloodied hands, thinking he did the deed, as Yin raises a shaking one to him before muttering one last incantation to change into a crystal.

Obviously magical, Alec then traveled the world seeking advice on this crystal as well as more inner peace with his own demons, eventually finding Tao Yin's master, who stated, "Her spirit resides inside the crystal, waiting to be harnessed once you achieve what you truly desire to be." Alec, ever the cynic, felt insulted by the convulted message and left in disgust back to the streets.

That's when he found trouble on it, and gazing down at the crystal in his hand, clasped it tight, used his powers, and started to pummel the thugs off a woman who looked vaguely like Tao Yin in his grief stricken state…. Except his powers seemed different now, flowing through the crystal and giving him a sense of peace, as well as glimpses of Yin in his vision…

He tried to mimic it, by using his powers, but just using them seemed futile, until he discovered that doing actual good acts or selfless ones, was what was causing him to see these glimpses. Now as he becomes more and more "hero" like he starts to actually see her manifest physically a few times a day, she doesn't seem to remember anything about their relationship, except she was close to him so thinks him a brother.

Name's Yang, and I'm a hotblooded hero who loves being a hero, my talent ranges from absorbing energy attacks to enhance my already strong physique, to taking on the hybrid forms of whatever I absorb, and martial arts of the hard style. Not to mention, when I kick into "hero" mode, I kick arse a few times a day.

Name's Yin, and I'm the twin sister of Yang. Sadly, I was not blessed with his physical body and was constantly sick throughout my life due to all the magic coursing through my body. We both started heroing around the same time, him working his body into the enemies we faced and me casting spells from behind him, it was an effective combination until I was almost killed by a supervillain. Desperately seeking a way to heal my grievous wounds, my brother used an absorption channeling device to basically trap my soul into a crystal…. I don't blame him for what he did since denial is the first form of grief in the end, and my old body was so weak before.

Now both of us together form one body, most of the time, since Yang doesn't need mana to power his actual physical form. Still, when a fight breaks out and there's supervillains to fight, both of us together bring our talents to bear.

Make a normal ranged attack roll using your WIL bonus rather than your DEX bonus. The target's WIL bonus rather than AGI bonus applies as a dodge bonus to Defense. If the attack hits, the target is stunned or dealt subdual damage equal to your power ranks in Mental Blast.

- Mental Assault: You can sustain your Mental Blast against a target, doing damage on your initiative each round without hte need for a new attack roll. The target gets a new WIL check against the damage each round. When using this extra, Mental Blast has a duration of Concentration (skill), and anything that breaks your concentration ends the mental assault.
- Psychic Sedation: You can mentally "sedate" an unconcious character to keep him unconscious, increasing the DC of checks to wake up by your Mental Blast rank.

General: A martial artist and magical absorber who uses his natural physique as well as summons and items that he steals powers from strikes with powerful physical based attacks along with elemental ones. The defining feature though for this hero is that he never truly stands alone even if he seems to be the only one out in the heroing field as he relies on the spirits to enhance his attacks.

Born Magister: Naturally born magick-based heroes may opt to begin with (either only 75 points to allocate to powers or with only 2 points to allocate to Attributes at Creation), treating all spells they cast as 1 power rank higher for purposes of dealing damage and determining their effects
